THE GREATEST BAND IN ROCK AND THE'ONLY' BAND TO INFLUENCE THE BEATLES ,... !! THAT WAS THE WHO # 1 BAND ALL TIME; THEY BROKE THEE GROUND !!
A real classic by the Who, which sums up the fact that the 60s generation provided the best music of all time
this has to be one of the coolest fucking songs ever
Earliest clean version of a song
Yeah generation of grandpas lmao

My generacion mis amigos
If you are listening to this song in 2019 u have good tasteI wish I was born in the 1960 but I was born in the late 2000 century in 2008
who's here from a silent voice???
ಥ‿ಥ
I am 35 hearing it for the first time and this song works on all generations.
This is the best song ever (In my opinion)
Kerplunk!
Can we turn the clock back please???????
Fun fact the producer actually had a stutterering issue. So as a joke they went in started, singing and stutterering the lyrics intentionally. Everyone said let's do it again but ironic the producer loved it and stuck with the song that way.

"I hope I die before I get old." Well, Pete, I can understand where you're coming from. I wish I was never born to see this.
Hello from Berlin, Germany, this was my generation and i feel very sorry for this generation😎

We're THE BOOMERS! My Generation! Still here!
Just saw The Who in SF last week....one of the best shows ever!,,
T U N E!!!
Don’t put down MY G-Gener-A-tt-ion. Ff-fade away, and watch US do great thing-s-s!!!I’m an artist, with a 70s soul.
This is a great song from one of the greatest rock bands in history!
Heard this in A Silent Voice and I was like okay not ur average music in anime lol
A Silent Voice 😭
Anyone else here from a silent voice? 2019? October?
man of culture i see
this song is the worst
What's that 3:02? Why does the license plate move in a strange way?
It doesn't matter what band made the song , when they made it, why they made it... and on and on... it's THE SONG that counts, and it is THE perfect song about what it feels like to be young... just pure perfection... it NAILS that energy like no other. Come on, no-one over 22 could have done that drum solo and the crashing guitar around it... energy like no other. Everyone who's been young, is young, and will be young in 10, 50, 100 years time , got it, get it, and will get it!! It's called Art... not the poncy kind, but the kind that speaks of what it really means to be human, young and ALIVE!!!
CANT PASS STOOL FOR WEEKSTALKIN BOUT MY CONSTIPATIONMY BUNGHOLES JUST NOT SLEEKTALIIN BOUT MY CONSTIPATION
The Who one of the most iconic groups of our era, =, greatness, yes so proud that they expressed our views, most did and still do give peace a chance, stairway to heaven at one time was the best song rated by us, but things change, yes in our minds like it or not they change, for the better, yes, will always be that way but should never take away from the greatness this group has proven, no do not wish to hear negative thoughts, well not now anyway might change my mind?lol my right, maybe later like in two seconds,
This is the worst music of the world
Ogni epoca ha la sua generazione questa non era mica male
The music during my generation which is the 60's was great. No today's garbage
Remembering me to koe no katachi
This guys generation is the generation now picking on the younger generation lol
I´m 58, so this song was well before my time, musically. I actually heard it for the first time in 1974, because Sweet covered it on Desolation Boulevard . And now I read Green Day covered it? Never heard their version, but I´m not surprised. I still think it´s the most angry song there is, mainly because it´s not angry at anything in particular. It´s like a dysfunctional kid just waving his fists about. Had it had a proper target it would be dated, but the lyrics could be written today. That is what makes it a classic. How many of the songs published in 2019 will we be listening to in 55 years...? I won´t live to see it, but I would bet my last shirt My Generation will have been covered a couple of times more - and people will still compare those versions with the original.
1:26sksk???nah he couldn't have....right??
Wasn’t this in “Silent Voice”?
RavenousRetro yeah
Their generation must have been awesome...
I agree with u. I wanna lived in this generation
Sorry Rodger but your old and your still kicking around.
0:40 I love her hair!
0:16 & here I am, doing all that I can, pretending I'm the super (wo)man :/🤘🎵. I'm sure I butchered that. Oh wrong song. But I hate it when any age group comes at me drunk in their overcompensation, projectile insecurities. In all that "balls of steel"... & liquid courage, u finally had your time to shine... & To come at me w/ your truth. & That's all you could come up with?.... You know what? I'm really disappointed in y'all. Bc you're stupid af! I'm insulted that you think I'd be insulted by that. I'm really just confused on how you could possibly have managed to live life in all that stupidity.
My generation is garbage
Today on "shit I have no business feeling nostalgic about but still do anyway"
limpbizkit

Hello from Berlin, Germany. Nothing has changed 😎
Who's here after Milhouse's sad face when Toys R Us was different?
No but I remember that episode 😂
Moon is god
I heard this in silent voice and was like...Wat wut
Limp Bizkit? Hell no
Boomers in 1965: "Yes these guys understand me!!"Boomers in 2019: "millennials are too sensitive, plus their music sucks, what happened to real music like The Who"
Not a Mod,definitely a Rocker!
1965 " My Generation " - The Who2000: " My Generation " - Limp Bizkit2019: *gucci fortnite gang*
This is the song where knowledgable people knew The Who were on another level. And then some.
bloody boomers.
Fade away if don't dig 'bout my generation.
“...the moon?”
Ultimate song I have to say
im not trying to cause a big sensation.the b.b.b.b.buy to let generation...
Fucking boomers
Vardas Pavardenis fucking became trump voters
I saw them doing this live in Perth City Hall in 1966 they were amazing, Keith and Pete did their usual act, probably the best gig I have ever been at,but then again I was sixteen and a big Who fan.
lesterstringer set the guitar on fire did they then
I was standing very near Pete Townsend, on their last tune they did their usual demolition act, Pete tried to destroy his amp speakers, then using his guitar like a bat tried to hack a hole in the floor, the guitar seemed to survive, had he used my Hofner Verythin it would have been match wood. Keith did his kicking the drums around the stage routine, while Roger tried to lasso John with his mike who was standing yawning. They were very unique individuals who when playing together just exploded.
The police still jack people up. lol
Cemburu
proto-punk as fuck
Рик Декард Nah mate the clash that’s real punk
@Barry Obama what's the point of your comment? Do you really think that I don't know one of the most famous punk bands of all time? Do you think that you are being so smart by namedropping an insanely popular punk band? I can play this game too: Ramones, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Black flag, Bad brains, Descendents, The Replacements, The Damned, Crass, Discharge, GBH, Buzzcocks, The Stooges, Minor threat, Fugazi, Circle jerks, Angry Samoans, the Adverts, Undertones, X-ray spex, Dead boys etc. Also, your comment is irrelevant and stupid, and you obviously don't know what proto-punk means. THIS SONG IS PROTO-PUNK BECAUSE IT INFLUENCED FUTURE PUNK BANDS, NOT BECAUSE IT IS PUNK.
I cannot unsee that Bully in this song 🤣
flashbacks to a silent voice
2019 and that anime brought me here
Are you talking about that Spikey Hair Bully who fell in love to his Deaf Victim? 🤣
I think those who live in the 60s as a teenager had the best time compared to the current teenagers.
John unless you were poor black or in vietnam
The title of this song is so appropriate, My Generation. These were the type of songs that we hear during my generation, which us the 60's. It was a great n wonderful generation as far as music is concerned
Thisismy generation!
Keith moon after he died was probably to the rest of the bandmembers like "ya'll ain't coming"?
SECAL02 how would he talk to them when he’s dead🤷♂️
I've heard this song before obviously, but i came here after i've watched A Silent Voice yesterday. That was amazing.
Now that's a cool vid.
i came from because full house
Does anyone know if the stuttering was real? Because it really made the song. The song wouldn't have been as popular without it.
September?
a lot of people are surprised this was in a silent voice but tbh I think it fits perfectly
Shoot -- I'm old (72). But I ain't dead, and I like The Who
Tj Hemlinger At 66, I am starting to like being old. Most of my friends are old. There is an unrecognized beauty as the body ages. And there is a strange, new freedom that at first you shy away from because you think you are breaking the rules. But then you realize, you are outside the rules now, and how wonderful. I am going to try out this new life, not just lament the past, but be certain of a viable future that will be thrilling. If need be, I will make it so out of sheer arrogance.
MY GENERATION SUCKS!!
I prefer to be at this time we are, we have great technology and we can listen the old musics through our Phone, I would never change it for living at their time
How old are you? Once you know what going on in today's world, you will prefer to be in their generation.
zhen86 24, but st that time was just few years after the war ended, racism was more bigger than today and with no laws to defend them, maybe the only one good thing was.... the world wasn’t so populated like today
Ketika para tetua kita merencanakan masa depan yg memudahkan cara bersantai memudahkan cara bersenang2. Itu memang cita2 mereka kan.Jadi kalo kita nikmati skrg ya memang cita2 mereka toh 🤔
All this stuff where Boomers and what I assume are Gen z/ Millenials arguing is kinda sad but kinda funny, like can't we all just enjoy the song.
Their generation turned out to be one of the most annoyingly conservative in history, not caring about the future of the planet and of their grandchildren if that means accepting any change.I wish they died before they got old...
No one : Literally no one : Vsco girls : 0:37
The Who’s generation: plays this songOur generation in 2019: Fortnite, Shrek, Minecraft, Dank memes you get the gist...
How dare you insult shrek
Why don't you all f...wait for it...fade away
Koe no katachi opening song👏👏👏
I'm literally the only one who heard the Green Day version and not this.
Koe no Katachi reminded me of this sick track
If you ever go to York castle museum check out the 60s room with lambretta scooters and mod Parker coats and original juke boxes not to mention this playing in the background 🎸🛵💿🏴
I would love to live in that time
It's...Punk.
