I’m a little depressed today and want to return to being newly minted teen in1982. Took the day off, listened to the whole album while driving past the pizza place where we all hung out, the old bike store where I bought my Mongoose, and drove around the park on this chilly overcast day. Feeling a lot better.
Wooo this was a great tune. Rogers vocals and Pete’s are totally dialed. It’s even a good video. No nonsense no special effects, no need! This music speaks for itself. I don’t know how people can listen to the crappola on the radio today. Glad I was born in the 60”s.
Not tricky. Just honest. And truth has to hurt.
Why is this pitched up so high?
Why do so many Who videos have sped up audio? Is it an artifact of a bad frame rate conversion from film to video? All of the Face Dances videos run fast, and some of the other stuff on YouTube as well...
Love this song. Kenny Jones is an excellent drummer and doesn’t get enough love. Love this drum kit, awesome 😎
This is no social crisis. Its the who having fun!
Story of my life.....
The lyrics fits with me.Another amazing song from them
They don’t write song like this anymore. The Who is great.
This is the last one. Do you heard "Ball and chain"?, How Deep they felt down...
In case they didn't play this last night here's how it goes.
Hi tempo here, buzzing.
Forgot about this one...Awesome!!
Kenney Jones -- smooth on the drums.
Poor Pete. The Great American Cocaine Wave made it’s way across the pond and crashed on him...
Townsend's vocal harmonization is amazing here. Try doing that and keeping up with the booming Daltry.
What was the taped microphone all about?
Roger likes to twirl his mics by the cable. It keeps the mic from flying off.
scotts witnessing crimehouse of correction yield signmichael welch sit whine
Another great song
embarrassingly , i first saw this in 1990 and thought it was new!!! lol i had no idea that the who did anything after Who Are You... i thought like Led Zeppelin, they were done when their iconic drummer passed on. then i discovered their 1979-1985 era. kind of a different band but great nonetheless!
excellent ! I might be wrong but...probably not 68. and probably a mix of a studio recording and this video take, with a very similar arrangement. Excellent, anyway!!!
This group remains a big deal, Pete's genius, his style is an incredible signature sound that's most awesome. Pete and Roger two great singers, Keith's playing was outstanding, John on bass the only bass player that matches this kind of talent is Mark King of Level 42. Time is all in head this music is great anytime. The illuminati places labels division and politics into music for an agenda. I just love to enjoy what things are for what they are...
So clever. Nolla
Roger Daltrey does a good job too.
Great tune.....not played often like "Slip Kid" or "The Seeker" 2 more of my fav seldom heard WHO tunes.
I have no idea why people thought "Face Dances" was a weak album.
A GOOD EIGHTIES SONG!
Still rate this highly - underplayed.
A Favorite College Song of Mine...GO BRUINS!
Classic
$250 for only half-decent, not-great seats to see them live. If you want the nosebleeds where the band appears the size of ants, $55 - it's like not even really being there. FUCK THAT!
One of the best Kenney Jones period Who songs.
Awesomeness
Reminds me of insane cocaine days in the art dept of that screen print shop in '81, with my fellow inmates. Listening to all the great music of those days while we worked & laughed. Real good times...till we burned out.
the best band
This is no social crisis, just my opinion but I'd take the who's top 4 albums over any other bands. My generation,Tommy , Who's next and Quadrophenia.
345 people cant get used to it..sad
great underrated tune by a great yet underrated band. I only say that because with all the great albums and material they had over a couple decades, they never had a no 1 album. Blew my mind. Still sold over 100 million albums when the population was about half of what it is now. WHen it meant something. God/Jesus bless and save all that read this.
I just watched Lambert And Stamp a couple weeks ago. This is the first The Who video to come through my thread since, something I've never heard. John Entwistle was a genius.
Sorry.... this is not a live audio recording. It is right off the album.
Not exactly, very close but not the same
May as well be my theme songc
*song, see👀
Didn't want to wade through 1K comments (though I'm sure it would be worth it), but of course this isn't live. Lip-synched version that aired on MTV in its early days. The synch is spot on, with the exception of some of Townsend's riffs at the end. Far better than the Stones -- their synch to the music was atrocious (but still enjoyable, in a goofy way).
Razor sharp rhythm guitar and pulsating, bobbing and weaving bass
We try to play like this in Los Angeles and have great successbut not exactly like this. Gotta get used to it. No social crisis. This is the Who. Just another tricky day. What the papers sayseems to bring down heavy rain. Gotta get used to it.We all come up and go down again, like Bowie. And the Who. Oh, this is them. Well break out and start a fire, y'all. It's all here on the vinyl.
Ok, here's the plan, let's all get in tune and play lead.............loves me some Who.
Tired. Of tricky daze
Rare studio version with Dr. Who singing leadRock and Roll scarf
Glad to see they are still around!
I'll never forget the day I got laid-off from a job for the first time in my life. It was on a day when I had tickets to see The Who in the front row that night. I got laid off and went home and told my wife the "devastating news" and I wasn't sure if I should go to The Who gig that night. She told me I absolutely should go. And out of the blue, The Who played Another Tricky Day out of the blue for the first time in many years. I practically cried. And in less than a week I secured a new job making more than I did at the previous place. Because of that, Another Tricky Day will always hold a special place in my heart.
Should have been a single?
Excellent song-about geniuses like Pete
I try to keep that in mind every day.
what a tune , the playing is so good entwistle earns his rep
KJ is one lucky F'er
Sure enough, took me right back to 7th grade.
the golden haydays of the good old Oo withouth Keith but still very much the who
too bad they had to lip-sync for the video.
Just gotta get used to it....gota get used to waiting....
The Who is better than the stones. This is no social crisis. Pruitt Igo getting bombed downin another revolt. No social crisis, it's how we play in Hollywood. It could happen anytime, get burned by the sun.Such a worthless title but here it is on the vinyl.Gotta get used to it.The ice is thin where your're skating.Go down and come up again. What the papers say seems to bringdown heavy rain. We built Los Angeles from stuff like this. It's another victim of Andy Warhol and the Velvet underground.Just another tricky day in la.
We all get it in the end.
Ox’s twangy bass sound is magic. Brilliant album, tracks. Magic 🙌🏻
Of course they're still a great band 💃🎺🎸🇬🇧
WTF GOIN ON IN THE NORTH COUNTRY,MORE SECRETIVE THAN OLD CHINA
That the one guy stand their, the middle guy is quintessential and that the tall guy had a weird haircut and and the one at the back looks like he’s beefing on some sort of drum set
One of their better songs that`s for sure. This is a song i would like to listen after having a tough day, Sitting down drinking a " Screwdriver" unwinding.
I remember this and the album..it was like well I guess it's all over isn't it? As the years passed by I guess I have enjoyed it more...for what it was...I did 83' instead of 73'. THAT made a world of difference...
OH MAN WHAT HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES. NOW THIS WAS CLASSIC MTV. NOT THE SHIT THAT'S OUT NOWADAY'S. CLASS OF ROCKIN 84 HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Another Miming Job By The Who
Like the song. But this is not a "Live" performance. It is lip synced to the studio recording. Sorry.
Awesome
Absolutely Love this song since I first heard it !! 0:50 ?? Who's singing Pete's parts ??
love Entwistle's bass line. he got a good sound on this album.
Great cut!! Thanks for posting.
Not live really. This is the music video. Filmed on the same day as You better you bet. Long live The Who well Pete Townshend and Roger Daltry. I here there is new music coming out from the band this year. 2019
The Who Mime For Another Video
C'est de la Bombe ! Pete and The Ox : I'm just happy . I don't need anything else in this world !😘😎🤓
The Who!!!
Just bought tickets for their Detroit show this spring 🤘🏻⭐️🔥
One of the more underrated songs in rock.
Sucks because Keith isn't on the drums.
One of my favorite all time Who songs... and I know them all from 1964 onward :D
What a great song. The truth in it becomes clearer with every passing year.
Awesome!
I love this album! Kenny Jones groove styles made the band so tight. No disrespect to the late Keith 🌙.
The who is incredible period
Ha-ha Trump's theme song!
Another tricky day...Fella!
The Who could be raw and intelligent at the same time.
Pete totally blows the solo in the video and it was probably intentional
Just hit repeat. This one deserves another listen.
Soooooooooooooooo good! Thanks!
Tricky in 2019.
Every time I hear that there's no crisis at the southern border this song pops into my head.
NOT live, just The WHO performing in the video of the studio version. It's STILL a great song.
This isn't LIVE!
They kept rocking without Moonie, which is awesome. He would have wanted that. Not nearly the band they were with him, but still better than most, as proven here. Now they're putting out a new album and launching a tour in their seventies. Long live The WHO!
just another great song written by Pete!!
and Kenny Jones is vastly under rated as a drummer.
Entwistle's base line is incredible.
when and were was this filmed? I seem to remember a filmed HBO concert of the Who in Canada?
