Well, in 1998. I never would have played this as my favorite song during a summer school (bring in your favorite song to waste time in north east usa) if I knew how horrific things would keep coming... I now understand fully the grasp of how scared the teacher and principle were even if they knew I were heavily pacifist and knowledgeable about the creeping progression of history (btw failed english and history (as a white american) due tword not doing homework). How insane this song told the future. Crazier part is that I love guns in a protective away against natural predators. Just another controversial craziness that can't find itself in a middle ground.

I grew up in Northern Canada. We had 5 Long Guns and 2 Pistols. So 2 Shotguns, a small 410 for poultry hunting, like Pheasant and Grouse, and a 12 gauge pump action for a just incase moment when out hunting Deer or Moose. 3 Rifles, a 7mm Rem Mag, a 30-06, and a 0.308, all bolt action. The Pistols we had, well they are considered restricted here in Canada, so you can only take em to the range, or gunsmith. However my Dad and Brother would each pack one with us while hunting. I can't remember exactly what they were, but one was a revolver style, and the other wasn't. At any rate, I was around those guns from a very young age, like 5 or 6 years old. I never once had the urge to look and see what resides the barrel? Nor did I piss around with them when nobody was around, usually because they were safe and sound in a safe. But even if they weren't I knew that the punishment would fit the bloody crime if my Dad found out I messed around with them when he wasn't around. He'd take me shooting when I asked, and that pretty much made them not as interesting to me compared to if he didn't take me shooting. Maybe the problem today is kids just aren't educated enough. I watched shoot em up movies, Lethal Weapon, Rambo, etc, I played the video games too, but I never wanted to go blast anyone or use the guns for anything but target shooting or hunting? I do believe that the laws may be a bit to lax in the U.S. but as a Canadian, who am I to say anything, it's their right, and the law says that they can buy a handgun without much of a fuss. I have a pistol in my house, but I can't do much with it. And if I get caught without the proper papers, and or transporting the wrong way, I get in a lot of trouble. I can still own one though, and I do feel safer with it. Even though it's in my safe, and trigger locked, I can get it out of all that in about 30 seconds, plus my Dog's would notify my of an intruder with enough time to get it out. Still, I wouldn't even go for the Pistol, I would grab my Remington 870 Tactical Shotgun! Way more intimidating than a Pistol IMO! Too bad kids shoot themselves, they shouldn't have access, and should be taught about the lethality of all guns.

Understood.... but what about the children who DIDN'T grow up around guns, and are NOT properly educated in gun safety? It may not be the child's parent who is irresponsible with their firearms, but rather a friends parent or a friend themselves who ultimately allows the gun to be handled. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Having a more objective view on the matter would do EVERYONE some good.

Great song, great band, LAME video!  Mixing anti-gun propaganda in with statistics is pretty counter productive.  But then again, Dave was a Godless alcoholic during this phase of the band!

It's not propaganda, Children should not be anywhere near guns! Teenagers should always be supervised by a parent or other responsible adult and guns should be properly locked away if they're in a house with young children or teenagers. Gun safety is not propaganda!

@orasis I was responsibly raised around guns as a child, as are millions of people around the world. Though this video shows mostly tragedies of kids with guns, it also highlights adults.  It is making generalizations and blanket statements.  It is propaganda.
