My grandma and grandpa had this life. They lived the fairytale life together. A long 65 years of marriage. The sad part is that my grandpa ended up with Alzheimer's disease and my grandmother had to watch him deteriorate over ten years until she could no longer take care of him. Then last year fall my grandmother landed in the ICU bc of hurricane Michael knocking out her power for almost a week. She died shortly thereafter and my grandfather died a month later. They loved until the end. It's something that you just don't see today. The one I loved and cherished, gave 12 years of my life and two beautiful children to (boy and girl) ruined it all. I used to dream of the day we would get married but he just couldn't get his shit together.
