This violinist from South Africa, performing at the German Parliament (Bundestag), prefaced his performance of Maurice Ravel's KADDISH by referring to his two great grandfathers who had contributed in major ways to Germany economically and culturally, but who became victims of the Nazis. And with that he began to play the ancient PRAYER FOR THE DEAD, as part of the memorial service in honor of the liberation of Auschwitz 65 years earlier. Shalom and Schalom.

Wie wir wissen, hat der Bundestag im Juli 2010 >einstimmig< gegen Israel gestimmt, indem er unter Verkennung aller internationalen Konventionen und Fakten die angebliche Blockade des Gazastreifens verurteilte. Ich hielte das Horst-Wessel-Lied angesichts dieses eingebildet israelkritischen Auditoriums für absolut angemessen. Man hätte sicher (einstimmig?) mitgeträllert. Shalömchen ^^
