1:22 aww yea
Trying to learn the intro chords by ear lmao. I know the first ones a Maj7 (at least that's what i use and it sounds right)
FMaj7! You're on the right path!
who the fuck would dislike this shit?
Joe Pass is a guitar god.
year someone?
Murilo 'morello' Cunha 1973, off of the superb album Virtuoso
A monumental moment in guitar. I wore this album out to the nubs. 8)
Have You Met Miss Jones?""Have you met Miss Jones?" someone said as we shook hands,She was just Miss Jones to me.And then I said, "Miss Jones, you're a girl who understandsI'm a man who must be free."And all at once I lost my breath, and all at once was scared to death,And all at once I owned the earth and sky.And now I've met Miss Jones, and we'll keep on meeting till we die,Miss Jones and I.[musical interlude]And all at once I lost my breath, and all at once was scared to death,And all at once I owned the earth and the sky.Now I've met Miss Jones, and we'll keep on meeting till we die,Miss Jones and I, Miss Jones and I, Miss Jones and I.
I usually love every thing Joe Pass does on guitar. But not this one. I didn't like the continuous arpeggios unrelated to the melody. Different strokes, I guess.
Joe Pass un maître es guitare avec une technique impressionnante au service de sa musique ..................
Joe is my all-time favorite jazz player. Also high up on the list is Johnny Smith and Howard Roberts, both of whom I met while attending a seminar in Colorado Springs in 1968.
This is great (I've learned it myself on the guitar) but at times it's not that obviously Have You Met Miss Jones.
Love you taste in music!
+James Anderson I think it's more important to hear the chord changes. Especially since Have You Met Miss Jones is based upon the chord changes more so than the melody.
+James Anderson The melody is a constant recurring theme in his improvisation. It sounds everything like the standard with the addition of improv in-between.
? He played the melody clearly, but he put some stuff in between by taking little "rests" and playing lines
LOL? i can clearly hear the melody...
the master
Great Musician! Jim Hall Pat Martino, so many and they each have their own voice. Joe is right up there. Makes life a little sweeter.
Just too good for the gods
Joe Pass' music really takes you to an amazing place, i can't even explain it. It's like all of my worries just go out the window for 4 or so minutes.
I think I got in touch with Miss Jones during the song. She vanished as the song was ending :/
@larryshlutzberger Comments like that (especially in this case with its profound irrelevance) are hardly acceptable in any sort of public discourse. You should be ashamed of your immaturity and lack of consideration for, well, the rest of the world.
>Likes Jazz>Instantly makes me gayOkay. Go fuck yourself.
What's wrong with being gay?
good to know man :O
Joe Pass ! What a man.
How he makes it swing. Not easy with one man band
Elegance, it's still around, even on You Tube. You have to look for it of course.
If only everything was so elegant. What happened to elegance?
