Its been over a year since I've even thought about home. Now its starting to hit me. I had to get away and grow and boy have I learned a lot. I know I have more to learn and one day I'll end up right back where I belong because I'm already starting to miss the town that raised me from 4 to 24.
Grew up in Appleton, WI. Enlisted in the Military at 19 and have been stationed in Fort Bragg for almost 4 years now. This song really hits home. You don't know how much you miss home until you've spent a long time away.
Hey guys check out my cover of this song https://youtu.be/du_DuGwCHQE
I went to my 3rd cousins wedding back in fall of 2009. It was worth the drive from Brooklyn New York to Milwaukee Wisconsin. Now I am in Lexington Arkansas.
AMAZING. Such good lyrics 😃
how do you not get copyrighted, i am a fellow youtuber and i would like to know thank you!
I love you carried under wood
in a week I get to go back home. I haven't been back in 4 years. I haven't seen my sister and my niece's and nephew since they were so young. now they're like little adults. you don't realize what you have til you lose it. sometimes Skype isn't enough
I'm going home tonight for Thanksgiving. There is alot of mixed emotions. it's been 6yrs.
24 days till I go off to college. I am going to be sad to leave my Hometown.
the instrumental is just so emo
WIth my dad being in the military for my younger years, made it impossible for me to have a home town. I don't have one. The longest we stayed in one place was after my dad retired which was Midway Georgia for about four years but then we move halfway across the country to Illinois. We've stayed here for about four years as well. This is where we plan to stay but I wish I could've experienced it. I kind of consider where I'm at a hometown but at times I wish I'd never moved.
This is my most favorite song after graduating high school!!
Hit the nail on the head:)
I am in tears I miss my famliy and friends thank god for home towns
My husband and I implanted to Dayton, Oh all by ourselves, a year ago from Rochester, NY. Its really tough some days more than others specially now with him being in and out of the hospital so much lately. This song really touch's my heart. Thank you Carrie for such an amazing song that means so much to us!
just when I thought I wasn't going to cry I read this comment, idk if you know where Bloomfield NY is, it's just a little South of Rochester, but I'm from there born and raised. I've moved back and forth from Bloomfield to Tucson AZ a few times, but this song always makes me think of home
I just left Rochester, NY and now currently residing Dayton, OH. What a coincidence.

I just realized how much i miss my hometown, i live 3 hours away :( I mean .... some people there might as well drop dead in my opinion but i miss walking down the streets. Back home this weekend!
Where my mom's from is very small and it's like my hometown since we moved around a lot while I was little. Every time I end up going back I'm always dreading it, but after I leave I always realize it was a good idea. Somehow, going back to your roots is always right.
I realy don't like this song, i mean it's a good song but it's to slow.
