Even though my now ex husband was abusive and almost killed me... I still don't know how to stop loving him and it killing every day.

He was my forever love. He said he would never hurt me and he would never leave but he lied. He left me September 9, 2016. I know in my head he’s never coming back but my heart I still hopes. I’ll never live another like I did him. It’s like I lost another part of me the day he died. First my grandma and then my son and then my aunt and last my husband. Soon my sister will be gone and I’ll be even more alone than ever. I’m losing parts of me everywhere and I don’t know how to mend the edges so I don’t just crumble. The pain has never gotten better I am still working at being able to be a person without my family. I am alone with my grief. I am afraid to let anyone see the broken parts so I let everyone think I’m strong and I don’t need anyone. Many have tried and none have succeeded in helping me mend my broken places. I assume it's been mentioned before but when this song came up randomly today on my PC I thought it was Eden's Edge - which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. I do enjoy Carrie's songs but don't always recognise that it is her singing.

This song is absolutely beautiful. It might be a stretch, but the way I like to interpret the song is instead of it being about a broken heart and losing someone. Maybe it's a love song expressing how their love is absolute. And the day I stop loving you will be the day my heart is gone- I might be there, but my heart wouldn't be.

The third one was still Not right/ 16 months later I was 3 months pregnant at 34 when I realized I didn't respect this guy. Had the kid & walked out the door. Guess I am a good walker. Now my kid is 25 and yes, we have been talking since I retired & returned to America when my kid was 3 months old. Still I have NOT had a relationship with anyone cause I ROBBED myself for never letting him go. You CAN let go & still love him. Don't mess your heart up. Open it up to this guy...I hope you have....& share your life with someone who loves you for you. Don't pine away for something or someone that may or may not happen. I am Carrie Underwood's BIGGEST fan. I have been singing to her music in my little CD player with the cord headphone that go over your ears from the old days. I was about 7 or so when I first started listening to her music. Every Christmas I would get a new CD from her. I love her, and she is the most beautiful because of her looks, and personality. 💙 This song helped and still helps me in times. :) I remember getting ready for elementary school, with this song on repeat!
