  24. yvory Shade

These bloody Y.T. a...h... , in Switzerland, they put an add in right middle of the album ! Just unbelievable...!!!!!

    Cool Coyote

and my channel isnt able to do monetary either , its utube who do that shitu need adblockplus, like u should have anyway for internet

  25. yvory Shade

I cannot say which I like the best, between Meddle & Wish you were here....WHAT A MUSIC !!!🎵🎶🎵 ❤️Jan 31 !? Right my birthday !

    M XP

If it had been any other band that made Meddle, people would have pointed to it as evidence of their genius. Meddle is a stellar album, swamped out by the blue supergiants sitting right alongside them.

    yvory Shade

no other band would have ever been able to create Meddle, at that time and at any other time! don t forget how "old" it is ... although sounding so special and perfect, both together :)

    Sébastien Gagné-Brault

The best between Meddle and Wish you were here is The Dark side of the moon

    yvory Shade

  27. Carlos Plaza

    It Is great

  28. Frank Sita

Best Pink Floyd albums: Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Meddle and Animals in no particular order. The Wall comes in a distant fifth, but fifth is still pretty damned good!

    Eric Y

Meddle is wayyyyy underrated in my opinion.

    flubb adubb

@Eric Y Meddle is great, but my top five is:1. Wish You Were Here (Perfect blend of spitting in the eye of the music industry and remembering Syd Barrett)2.Dark Side Of The Moon (Overrated, but monumental for its time, spoke of the mundane and relatable)3. Animals (An Orwellian look on industrial society as a whole, but not for the ones with weak attention spans)4. The Wall (a memoir of Roger Waters as a child and the story of Pink building his emotional Wall. The adolescent nature of the album is a plus and a minus)5. Meddle. (unarguably the start of one of the best eras in rock and roll for one of the best bands, and really created the long psychadelic song, Echoes is something the world will never forget)

  29. Fermin silva

Épico, grandioso , majestuoso, pero sobre todo emocional,,,,,gracias PINK FLOYD

  35. C Trip

I am 33. My father who was an MP in Vietnam still counts Pink Floyd as his favorite band......he passed all the love down to me. I used to listen to this album(which I would "borrow" and replace in his CD collection) on the nights I was too Fucked up to go home and stayed the night at my friend Andys house. The room I had must have been blasting this album .....but everyone always slept soundly. I know now the healing power of Floyd at 33 yrs old. I was born into the wrong generation. I like to think I gave peace to that house of lost souls. Gave their dreams an injection of pure inspiration......."Remember when you were young?? Shone like the 🌞......Shine on you crazy diamond" and all you crazy Diamonds out there waiting for the chance to shine. Don't reach for the secret too soon.....

  36. C Trip

    THANK YOU

just turn it down i mean 😂

  39. Andy hodgson

"....you gotta get an album out you owe it to the people we're so happy we can hardly count". Great line. In fact the whole album is lyrically and musically brilliant.

  40. Hunter Killer

Pink will last for hundreds of years well into the future

    Cool Coyote

pink won't but Pink Floyd will 😉

    Josh Gellis

    @Cool Coyote lol.

  41. dragan milosevic

This does not need drugs, just silence. And you will experience paradise

    Cool Coyote

mmm then again lol. but yeah its musical bliss thats fact

    Martin Murphy

Great Music is my favourite drug ? yeah !

  42. Mr Flibble

This album is just magical from start to finish, I don't even feel the 13 minute run time for SOYCD it just flies

    Cool Coyote

yeah i want it longer now lol

  43. Tom Fegredo

I remember when i first listened to this and it got to around 3:50 and the synth texture started to die down and i thought "wow, that was incredib-" and then the guitar lead line started playing and the song started to build and my mind was blown

    Cool Coyote

yeah i rejected the start on my first listen in 97' but the guitar surprised me as i knew absolutely nothing about pink floyd, glad i hung in there, love the piano now, also the sax player for PF Dick Parry is actually a big deal for me, though hes never mentioned just as clare torrey was never mentioned in 'great gig in the sky' but Richard Wright is

  44. Lady Stardust

    Cool Coyote

uh hexxx dont mention that word 'jazz' 😬 the one form of music i cant stand . love the rest of your comment though. 😁👏😎👌 i like dont consider norah jones jazz (for reference)

  45. tonbonthemon

Looks like Pink Floyd's channel wants you to buy SOYCD to listen...

    Cool Coyote

splain how homer? whats going on, i dont get ads as i use adblockplus. is there an ad i never see? or are you talking about their 'official ' PF music site

    tonbonthemon

@Cool Coyote Their official channel, even with an adblocker, like when you want to watch a movie from the youtube movies channel. That's why I came here to listen.Edit: Actually looks like the first part for SOYCD was replaced with an ad for a boxset? Strange because it's their official WYWH playlist. Either it's a mistake, or they want you to buy their box set. The full first part is still officially available through a search.

    Cool Coyote

ugh ya know iv always been anti spotify and those types of money grubbing sites. only time i believe you should pay for music is if u go into a CD store. these site dont pay for anything, they just make out they own something. what a loada shit.

  46. Flore Crepin

The ads in the middle of the listening: just awful.

    Cool Coyote

i never get them,GRAB YOURSELF ADBLOCK PLUS WHICH EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ALSO.

  47. miocuggino

    Sempre bello sentirli ! Grazie-

  48. Injun Mick

Reminds of a day, Technics turn table, Kenwood amp. JBL speakers, awe yeah.....

    Cool Coyote

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun and we had those huge speakers and listened to LP'slike abby road , bread, pink floyd and the rest. Those big old speakers were the best. 😎

    kevin hull

Close, Kenwood amp, Technics turntable & Bose speakers. Still using it all. We got 2 loads of old vinyl recently, some 45s but mostly albums. When I say 2 loads I mean we filled a 3/4 ton Dodge van twice. I'm once again using my amp & turntable. The speakers have always been hooked up, I've just added more.

  49. Saxxony Ger

    Awesome !

  50. Victor

Wish You Were Here, es de mis canciones favoritas en lo que llevo de vida, me encanta, ese estilo suave y la letra.

Thanks for the warning - need to get Neil while I can! Thanks again for so many great posts

    Cool Coyote

hell, dl and post it yourself if u like 😉 or try.

  58. TIMOTHY MYCHALUK

Its a shame how this band ended as it did . I guess money and fame can do that to some people , sad.

    Lester Miller

TIMOTHY MYCHALUK I worked as a roadie back in the early 70’s in Phila and NJ and NY. Setting up stage equipment for concerts. Met a lot of kool bands. It was very easy to go wild and burn out fast back then I almost lost it a few times. Lost a lot of very kool musician friends of mine. Because of the party scene and groupies, very easy to get lost in that scene. I still love to pull out one of my guitars and jam. My cat likes to hang out on the sofa and meow away as I play kind of funny.

    Cool Coyote

believe me it wasnt like that at all. bands have a shelf life. as successful as the beatles were, they wanted to do other things too. david has done what he wanted.

    hgk

A shame indeed, but it could be much worse. I mean just regular people staying friends for that long is not that common, as people change, but they had quite a long run before Waters and Gilmour got into an argument, and even then Gilmour, Mason and Wright still stayed together.

    Cool Coyote

well of course they stayed tight, as they were not the cause of the trouble were they. waters has been a pain after his 30's and a bit of a dick lets be honest. roger waters a was a good lad in his 20's a nice chap. but things change. firing Wright was a dick move

  59. oxiigen

before photoshop they were just burn people, amazing!

    Cool Coyote

oh i get ya, from the photo of the man on fire yes, they would burn people . were* ?

  60. Gonzalo Soto Subiabre

I will cry when I could see finally the Pink Floyd biopic, the scene when they are recording "Shine on you crazy Diamond" and a big, fat and bald guy with eyebrows shaved appears at the studio, and then Roger get realized that he is: the crazy diamond, the lunatic on the grass. Syd Barret.

    Tim Arnold

Dude, that's deep but good. Me 2 will cry for that show.

    Kennedy Crevoiserat

I like to think they exaggerated that a bit even in his solo career he was the same old syd i dont know where the fat guy all you guys say is but i havent seen him

    Moto_919

@Kennedy Crevoiserat Its a true story. As he said one day Syd showed up at the original recording studio Britannia Row. Fat bald and with no eye brows. If you watch it they show the picture they took of him that day.

  61. End November

Not many albums can fathom the likes of this one.....Nothing like the days when an album was a story from start to finish. A rollercoaster of delights. Damn this album is so fucking fantastic!

  62. Martin Moreno Jara

    A masterpiece.

    Cool Coyote

yes if only we sent this into space , then the 'aliens' would see some sort of intelligence

  63. Nicolas Mertens

Crazy Diamond was Syd Barret... The original Album... When I'm was children, eight old, I listen this Album in my bed...

    Cool Coyote

but pink floyd made the album, they improved a lot after he left and im one that likes sids piper at the gates of dawn stuff but they went beyond experimental stuff to greatness

    Nicolas Mertens

    Thanks!

    23 Heathrow

i can’t decide weather to post this to r/youngpeopleyoutube or r/ihadastroke

    Nicolas Mertens

    The weather? I cant understand...

    Nicolas Mertens

    Cool Coyote You're right... Thanks

  64. Classic Rock fan

All Pink Floyd's 70s albums are my golden ones... except Atom Heart mother.

    Kennedy Crevoiserat

Damn i never heard of that one. I guess now i know why

    Cool Coyote

you should then listen to it. its interesting in that its the first 'try hard' album pink floyd have done. its terriblebe it 1 song fat old sun being quite good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLsthJbl-co but this version beats the album version by a distance.

    Kennedy Crevoiserat

Cool Coyote thanks i will check it out!

    Kennedy Crevoiserat

Cool Coyote wow what a unique album from pink floyd. To me it would go great with a tab.. i like their symphony style in that album

    primaverasetentera78

Hay unos sólos increíbles. La guitarra de Gilmour llora y hace llorar.

  65. jack markwick

I wish my dad was here.

  66. shafta99

wish you were here charles, know you would love this. sniff.

    1D S

Love is not a wish, love is always there and will be there as long you love. Shine On.

  67. Samson Solomon

Now there’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky

  68. Nick 77

This album is the greatest musical composition that has ever been made or ever will be

    Classic Rock fan

    Yes!! This and Meddle

    James Barthelemy

How can anyone argue? Listening to bands do progstuff my whole life and feeling like other artists were aspiring to something thwy saw and i didn't.. Now i know they were all aiming for this. No one's matched it yet, though.

  69. Zoe TheCat

Dave, Roger & Nick are great, but Richard was the true heart of PF

    Zoe TheCat

@Cool Coyote Good point. Clare was eventually compensated heavily...thankfully.

    Cool Coyote

that sax guy was spot on too. he should of had more than her, as hes been involved in a heap a shit.

    Zoe TheCat

@Cool Coyote I totally agree with you. Dick Parry is his name.

    Cool Coyote

    oh how unfortunate 🤣

    flubb adubb

Such a mistake on Roger's part to kick him out of the band over The Wall. Ended a Pink Floyd Era.

  70. John Hendricks

This is nothing short of Genius.

    Cool Coyote

    details ay 😉

  71. Jeff Plunkett

CMON MAN FUCKING REALLY IS THERE ANY THING BETTER THAN FLOYD WITH THE THOUGHT THERE IS ONLY ONE THING THAT CAN MAKE ONLY YOU GO TO A SPECIAL PLACE IN THIS WORLD LEGALLY AND ITS FUCKING !!! MUSIC!!! A MOOSE OG TY

  72. good guy

I first heard this at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls in 79/80. A girl named Kathy Viscount turned me on to this music. Wish I knew where she wound up as I think of her every time I hear it.

    Jeff Plunkett

OUTSTANDING I HAVE A BROTHER THAT IS STATIONED THERE PRESENTLY OOH RA!!!

    good guy

@Jeff Plunkett Very cool Jeff. Send him this music and keep the tradition rolling. Maybe he will find a Kathy and create life long memories!

  73. James Barthelemy

Imagine being me. Im 31 and had never listened to pink Floyd before a couple months ago when some friends put this album on in its entirety mid lsd trip. What these men achieved in 75' hasn't even been touched since. I truly feel like im in on something special forhaving loved this album.

    James Barthelemy

@Jeff Plunkett everyone thinks their favorite thing is the best thing.

    red wurm

The only band that even came close...but still couldn't master the soundscapes like Floyd could...would be the doors.

    Cool Coyote

funny i disagree with you but not about the soundscapes, they did some cool stuff . they are a great band , but no band is even in pink floyds league anyway . well my opinion only. 😁 beatles perhaps

    Manon Gagnon

james you've been missing out, Pink Floyd was the 70's best trippin music, on or off drugs. Check dark Side of The moon, it's the best selling album of all time.

  74. Ish El

One of my favorite albums of all time.. it is a masterpiece

  75. Jl Zab

    Un monument 👍

  76. Paul Harrison

First heard this when I lived and worked in Scotland in the 70s when 1st released it still moves me now.

    Classic Rock fan

Nice! Im hearing this as a Millenial. I wished I experienced the 70s

  77. Tate Mcilwain

This album is my favourite pink floyd album from the ones that I've heard.

    Tate Mcilwain

@Cool Coyote the reason I like this is because they'd just released their most successful album, dark side of the moon, and it seems they might have been out of ideas so they had to just make something out of nothing. So they just wrote songs about things they were going through like dodgy record labels and Syd Barrett showing up being all messed up. It just feels so sincere and personal. And yeah, us and them is a good comparison to this album.

    Cool Coyote

yes they said about darkside that it was almost a throw away album , we didnt expect much out of it. invites some chick to sing in it (torrey)do whatever th fuk lol for me (and everyone)it just sounds like perfection , maybe they thought people at that time in the 70's were not ready for such an album.

    Kennedy Crevoiserat

Cool Coyote mine is wish you were here dogs and syds solo mad cap laughs

    standingwave73

Cool Coyote Ifthe ‘70s weren’t ready for it certainly none of the subsequent decades were either.

    primaverasetentera78

WYWH es mi favorito desde que lo oí por primera vez sobre 1976, pero oír "Us and Them" con auriculares es la misma sensación, también, como oír "Shine on you crazy diamonds", otra obra de arte.

  78. Alex 235

Whoever is responsible for putting the ads oh here should be beaten and hung

    Sean Connor

type google extensions then youtube ad blocker and boom no ads

    Ewan Baxter

@Jim Biafra He can't help it. It's not his album.

    Cool Coyote

i cant . if you had a youtube channel you would know what me and Ewin mean. bottom line is , its youtube. they allow it, just as facebook allows it. you cant blame the ads.

  79. Diego Arevalo

Wish you here dad :(. RIP Daddy. March 21 2019 is a date i'll never forget i my life.

    Sir Ahmed Hossam

    Rest in peace, bro

    MynxLynx

R.I.P. I lost my grandpa and I know how it feels. That was the day after my first guitar lesson on the same year. I hope you enjoyed your moments with him

    Robert Robello

  80. Lewis Gardener

    Class album

  81. Hubi Games

Kocham Pink Floyd ,kocham ten album.

    Cool Coyote

    everyone should 😁

  82. Mordred's Quest

    MASTERPIECE !

  83. Sina Kashani

This album is absolute gold, but even better when you are high

    Sina Kashani

@Cool Coyote They probably didn't even define weed as drugs haha, but anyways it's still an amazing album though

    Cool Coyote

yes exactly my thoughts of course they would done mild weed, but nothing compared to the beatles or cream's much harder drugs

    Monkey Bread Films

these albums are trippy, if your trippin you'll understand, it tests your ego especially the wall but dark side of the moon is also good

    Cool Coyote

yes of course its proper space rock thats why

    Aaron Ippolito

Lol lies if they didnt use acid to make dark side of the moon. Sure they werent abusers like Syd but they were around him?!?!? Watch the Jugband Blues music video. Nick Mason's eyes are like a thousand times more dilated than their supposed to be and the outfits theyre wearing?!?! Checkmate

  84. Kevin Larson

The era, the political world, the ever struggle and then Pink Floyd

    CLee Westgard

and now the era, the political world, the ever struggle and STILL Pink Floyd. Always relevant, always fresh.

  85. Oliver Dowling

    Thank You!

  86. Kris Trznadel

Best album of Pink Floyd 😀

  87. q x

If this album was a woman I'd like to fuck its tits.

  88. Jeremy Light

By the way, which ones Pink?

    Cool Coyote

hehe like saying grand slam in tennis, no such thing Thats a myth. the right term is 'majors'they made their own 'brand name'

    Robert Griffin

  89. Seth Griffin

  90. lenzmann

    ヘッドフォン推奨!アップありがとうございます Thanks!

  91. Jimmy Wiley

just too cold and just that!

  92. Michael H

The last melody played on this album by Richard Wright is from See Emily Play. I can only ever listen to this album in full, it's like a letter to Syd. Beautiful.

    Cool Coyote

ugh thats sad in a way , they would waste their time in that way, but you are right . its obvious enough. though i am not hung up on that . cos i listen to this for years didnt know any of that drama .

  93. pascal broek

    thx ..x I got the album/cd/cassette/ I I was there in Berlin in 1990..........what a rush man....kuddos 4 U btw !

    Jeff Plunkett

And disciplinary remains mercifully

Yes and um, I'm with you Derek, this star nonsense

Yes, yes

Now which is it?

I am sure of it

So, so you think you can tell

Heaven from hell?

Blue skies from pain?

Can you tell a green field

From a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade

Your heroes for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze?

Cold comfort for change?

Did you exchange

A walk-on part in the war

For a leading…
