When I was young I liked mainstream bands like Simple Minds, Kiss, Motley and Poison, I never really understood Pink Floyd. A couple of my classmates were completely into them and I thought they were weird, I mean, come on, you gotta rock as a young teen, not this pretentious pseudo-artsy crap.I was wrong.

I Experienced Pink Floyd once I took a hit of Acid (LSD) and was Blown Away................

THIS SONG MAKES ME THINK ABOUT MY OWN LIFE as it goes today, i had a whole family, I dedicated myself to keep my mom and dad happy and, suddenly, I lost it all, mi parents completed thier life cycle, my wife died in a car accident... and myself??? i tend to avoid thinking about the old days, the good times but i still thinking on them ,it is impossible not to think about it... this masterpiece is one of those songs you get to think it was written for you... just my comment...

The modern song “high hopes” you hear a lot on the radio nowadays is poopy. But this “high hopes” is the meaning of music, the meaning of everything. The bells intro was the same intro used in a song Gilmour wrote about 25 years earlier on Umma Gumma. Probably to represent the good old days when they were young. This song, however, reminds me of my good old days, but not because that’s the theme of the song. The division bell was the first cd I ever owned after receiving a cd player as a gift when I was a teenager. That was about 25 years ago for me.
