Saw them on this tour at the Superdome. A truly religious experience and best damn concert I’ve ever attended.

@Anne-mette Westengen Well... they're certainly one of the best bands in the world... but there are a LOT of really excellent bands out there! (Although most of them are getting on a bit these days... not so many really excellent bands after the '80s, imho...) I think it's great that you're such a Pink Floyd fan and your loyalty is admirable, but you really should start to listen to some other music too! (Eg, Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band, Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Fairport Convention, etc, etc...) Give yourself a little variety! It's the spice of life! Btw, shhhh! No need to shout, Anne! Have a nice day! ;)

This song provokes fond memories. When I was in elementary school, my parents, sister and I would always vacation in San Francisco for a week during summer break. My dad would religiously play all of his favorite classic rock albums during the 6-7 hour drive from Los Angeles to the Bay Area. Meddle by Pink Floyd would always be the first album of the drive, hence this song would be the first to play as we set out on the crazy I-5 freeway for a fun holiday. I was pretty young at the time, but our summer drives and the music playing solidified my love of Pink Floyd, the Dire Straits, Queen, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, the Hollies and all the other tried and true bands my dad would play for us in the car. Wonderful times they were!

Holy shit!! If ever I saw a concert that was intended to be attended on acid, That's the one!!! Wow! That would have been so much fun. I was too poor to go to concerts back then. Oh well.

Mr. Gilmour, I've been a big fan of yours since the 1960's. That said, we would love to see you at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA, sometime. (you should know what that is). Your previous ride, "Comfortably Numb" may be there as well. Airventure now has an opening day concert that you might enjoy participating in. I have been volunteering there since 1987 so I can put you in touch with the right people if you need assistance. (Decent lodging and rental cars are very hard to come by). The Commemorative Air Force always has "Old Red Nose" (dual control P-51D), nearby for rides if you want to get some stick time. Anyway, if you do make it up there, look for the "SOS Bros." beer tent by the EAA Museum. Best parties every night! Maybe we'll see you there! Craig H.
