It fucking pisses me off that people only know this song from Burning and not the Elevator to the Gallows, the movie for which it was fucking COMPOSED for. I don't know I feel like if you're gonna use a legendary song in your movie that's already been used in another classic film you should at least make some kind of homage to the original.

@Luke Donovan fuck off, it's a song that was composed specifically for a movie, it's not like a song made independently by an artist and used at different times by different filmmakers - I think that would be fine, but this is more like if you tried to use the star wars theme in your movie and tried to pass it off as your own. it's shitty.

Could someone be kind enough to give me the title of the album this is from? I am a huge Miles fan, but this song of his has changed my life.

The album is "Ascenseur Pour l'Echaufaud". That was the soundtrack album for the 1958 Louis Malle film with that title. The title translated is "Elevator To The Gallows". Malle asked Miles to improvise all of the music for the film.
