OMG! Cannonball’s solo.....
Best selling jazz album of all times!
Lovely, simply lovely...TM
Who is listening in 2019? \Õ/
Me because I have to play it
@Finalkids FT same bro
I love this joint!
This NEVER gets old for me. Every time I hear the intro it's like the first time......
Coltrane’s solo...........wow.
Miles' temperate outro can move a man to tears.
If all world governments dedicated themselves, to the arts including music, dance, sculpture, painting, and so on w`d have a better world, since people who play, sing, dance, and paint, are happier and more productive, which would lead to general sustained, and sustainable development BLESSING
Thank you Pops... RIP. Thank you for introducing Miles and Trane to me
Lord have mercy
That Philly Joe rimshot, Cannonballs ebullient solo, that piano solo that reminds of early morning raindrops, Trane comung3 in just ever so slightly off key, and Miles and Paul on lockdown, no wonder Im weeping at the sheer majessty of this. Expect this to be on my playlist during my memorial service. Dont be late
The drummer here is Jimmy cobb, Philly did not play on this album
Correct. He got that nuanced, slightly ahead of the beat trick from Philly Joe.
@Like Dislike Correct you are however Miles called that nuanced and slightly ahead of the beat the Philly Joe rimshot.
Magic 💖
Much better than Mayor Pete's version
I've always like this piece I'm here because i was out to eat this weekend at at a fancy food spot and this came on
Definitely a cool album, this was one of the albums that changed jazz
I love Cannonball's solo so much!
Reminds me of my first cigarette. Breathtaking.
c'est divin
Miles ahead!
Somehow, no matter how many times I listen to this, it never seems to grow old.
JRGJRG this is what is called...timeless

The Real G.O.A.T. Of jazz!👊🏿💯
Jean Paul Sartre's "No exit" brought me here.
Who here from born from pain
Sickö Born from Pain 1993
Another favorite✨🔥
Adderley's solo is just gorgeous, so deeply felt (like everything else about this song).
There is a point beginning at 10:04 where everything kinda just pauses, like a sort of suspension and then the bass hits this one lone note at 10:06. Then the bass does this sort of snake like maneuver back into its regular pattern. This part just always floors me. I don't know if that all was written, planned or just an incredibly spontaneous moment, but I always have to rewind back to that spot. The composition is perfect as it is, and this little moment makes it all the more beautiful to me.
Sexy stuff
2nd time listening to this and absolutely agreeing with all the other comments
After 10years i finally found you never give up on a song you 💖
SmooveOvaEast I was saying the same damn thing, word!
Me gusta cómo suena la tristeza.
Pink floyd fans here? I'm saying it because of THE Chord in Breathe from DSotM album ;)
When I first heard this recording, right after it was released in 1959, (I'm an "Old Man!") John Coltrane became my all-time "Musical Hero" because I couldn't believe a horn could sound like that - Again being "Old", I was fortunate enough to see him live in the early 60's during that "Great L.A. Jazz Scene" of that period - A few years after the Album was released, I found out ALL BLUES was recorded on April 22, 1959, my 18th Birthday - I've played this song on my Birthday ever since - "KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ" (especially Coltrane)
Stephen Colbert and John Batiste brought me here
Who is here after the Late Show with Stephen Colbert Monologue? ✋
Haha, me. After Stephen and Jon talked about it, I had to listen to the original.
Me !!.. and what exactly was mayor Pete thinking
Me too!
Who is here after mayor petes attempt and to find out what this suppose to sound like ? And Colbert teasing his Iowa rally?
I’ve heard it said that “ Miles Davis is God”. He is immortal nonetheless 🎺
One of my absolute all time favorite albums. Definite desert island pick
Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck so far, i am just easing into jazz, helps me get centered and study or get focused. great musci over all, as a bassist, this is the type of music i wish to learn in the future
MIles ... the Legend ... This is basic cool clinical improvisation, right here ...
9:08 - 9:11 is the greatest piano riff I’ve ever heard , it’s haunting and ecstatic at the same time
Thank you Claude Debussy...This is your legacy.
How so?
The joke is that this is not a blue balls rip
it's grand dad.
This glorious piece if music was recorded 60 years ago today, and it still sounds fresh
John Coltrane has been my musical hero since 1959, when I first heard his solo on ALL BLUES, just after it had been released, on the jazz Station out of Long Beach, Ca. called KNOB ("the Jazz Knob") - my first thought was "I can't believe a horn can sound like that" - being an old man, I was fortunate enough to see him during that "Great L.A. Jazz Scene" of the early to mid 60's - "KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ" (especially Coltrane)
That haunting trumpet... Lord have mercy
Still miles ahead of so much music.
This tune is even fun to play along to with my bass even though it's very repetitious for a bass, it has so much feeling though that it's never boring, it's inspiring on the bass, especially if you sneak a few extra notes in here and there.
mo better blues
Beauty at it's finest😍😍😍😍
One of the best songs ever! He was one of the finest musicians in history.
Wow, came here at the recommendation of a musician friend-glad I did, this is wonderfull!
The genius of Miles is he knows when NOT to play!
1.46 yay
Wow this is what you call great music
Just....... damnit man!!!!
Life makes no sense without this.
First heard this song back in the summer of 2001 on Tony Mowod's evening program on WDUQ in Pittsburgh back when it was a jazz station. This was the song that got me into Jazz music. Miles, Coltrane, Bill Evans, Cannonball all here...simply amazing.
Brilliant...
Gênio! Miles Davis foi gênial.

Feliz dia mundial do compositor, MILES.
You are listening to the peaceful from Miles Davis.
Nobody does it better than Miles this is a beautiful melody.
Jon Coltrane’s solo from 6:15 to 7:15. Is the greatest one minute of jazz ever recorded. It’s literally what heaven must feel like
This touches my heart and soul.had 2 cry thx 2 grandpa who showed me Miles Davis. I am 28 and i love it could listen 2 miles davis every day.
If you need some notes about this music here you go:Genre: Blues (duh :P)Instruments: Piano, trumpet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, double bass, drumsDifferent between tenor and alto sax: Tenor sax is bigger and produces a mellow and deep sound. Alto sax is smaller and produces a higher pitched and brighter sound.Your welcome! I might have ended up having the same listening homework as you!
yes, you do
@Shaiwalker Official lol did I help?
THANK YOU
you're welcome, not your.
Esto es hermoso. :^)
Wow! Thanks for share it! #ClassicMonday #Jazz
Gracias Miles , por esta genialidad!
Oh to be so coooooooooool!!!
I'm playing this tune for one of my Tuesday jazz combo groups at my college.
My phone is at 4 percent and I'm still rolling and listening to this. The most beautiful song I've ever heard
This unravels my mind, making me laugh at just how far off soo many ideas of good music are. This album here is what everyone meant, when they say Amazing!
There is something so special about the way Miles plays his horn. He literally takes you on a journey. He lays bare so many emotions. You feel his sadness; his blues, his solitude. He made it look so effortless.
Love that moment when Jimmy Cobb switches from brushes to sticks and Miles kicks in with the solo. Gives me chills every time. https://youtu.be/-488UORrfJ0?list=OLAK5uy_nkfBmwK2t62J1xAsfhcwj9PVQG7N5UunA&t=104
Brings back so many memories.. I burst into tears when I hear this💖💖 3ASTDALLAS
I need to know the contour of this song
Bendita tristeza.
