This song came out when I was 14 years old and I had this boy who loved me and we dated for in high school. I wrote the words to this song in a love letter to him , because I cared about him. He was a wonderful gentleman and respected me and sadly my life changed ( raped by sister boyfriend ) and I came to live in the USA. I was angry at life and adults but worked hard and with God’s mercy continued to survive. Got married had a child 9 years later got divorced and 8 years after my divorce I got a call from a stranger. That stranger was that boyfriend from high school and he has been looking for me for 30 years. He never married or lived with a woman, he loved and cared about them and even had two kids. He said that he just couldn’t settle for a relationship that didn’t make him feel complete. I didn’t really remember him till he reminded me of the words in the letter which he still has. I knew that those words were special and important to me. We’re now together because I fell in love with him as an adult and he never stopped loving me since high school. This song is my song to him and his song for me is Micheal Bolton’s “ said I love you but I lied this is more than love I feel inside “ . 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

No habia la tecnologia de la que disponemos ahora, pero todo era mas sencillo y se vivia con gusto, la gente era mas bella sin tanto uso de recursos cosmeticos.Para mi en mi humilde opinion todo era perfecto(Aunque perfecto solo Dios).Pero esa epoca es y sera insustituible.

I remember hearing back in the 80's, and always loving it as a kid, but never knowing who sang it. Years later, in 93, I heard it on the radio....and, after getting home, I called the radio station and they said it was Survivor!

I dedicate this song to my husband ..and I sing this song also before our marriage ..it reminds me on how he cares and love me unconditionally
