What I love about this version is how it brings into sharp relief the fact that Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion. Too many Christians prefer to forget that crucial fact.

I loved this song since I sang it in my primary school when I was about 6-7 years old. It's my favourite. I'm 16 now and still LOVE this song. Remind me of the past, like medieval age. This version reminds me of Israel in Jesus' time and it's so nice.

That is the power of music. It has a special place in our human brain so we can travel far away in space and time when we listen to it. Just imagine a celtic tribe dancing around Stonehenge with the drums banging on the rhythm !
