Nougat- Nubian lady.. ;0))
I still marvel at Nubian Lady. I feel sexy, clean and desirable. This is better than wine.
This is the stuff rite here.........
Just came across Yusef by accident (2nd best accident in my life). So far everything I've heard has sent me somewhere never before been. I wanna broaden my horizon within this genre, so it'll be much appreciated if you drop some names of artist whether personal favorites or goats of the genre.
I want to hear the cut, "A Long Time Ago" I think from this album, but I can't find it on the Tube.
I remember Yusef Lateef when I was a kid and liked his music and now I am 68 and I still do. Peace brothers and sisters.
If you disliked this I despair for your very soul...
wow ! I said this before severally real musicians there were
Beautiful
Thanks for posting. My dad played this record when i was little back in 1972. R.I.P
RIP. Thanks.
My uncles and dad introduced me to Jazz in the late '60's. When I heard the music of Yusef Lateef, Cannibal and Nat Adderley and Herbie Mann, I was driven to learn the flute in my last of high school. I love the sound of it, the spiritual sense of it. Thanks to the spirit Yusef for gifting the world with your Light. Respect.
Thanks be to GOD who shared with the world a man that loved and respected "Nubian Women".Now enjoy him as we enjoyed you.
Wonderful lyrical flutist!!!
Fantastico!Mis respetos para este gran maestro y RIP!

The Great & legendary Yusef Abdul Lateef passed away yesterday (Dec. 23, 2013) at the age of 93 (Prostate Cancer). Rest In Peace...and thanks for all the beautiful music.....Truly A Gentle Giant.
May he rest in peace. Thank you for the amazing music
Beautiful music--it weaves a spell. RIP Dr. Lateef
Thank you for loving us Mr Lateef, in this era of hatred towards black women its a breath of fresh air to hear this beautiful track dedicated to us, Rest in power Mr
Black women are the prettiest on the planet. And the men...my goodness. For some reason they hardly ever come out in the media. But when I see a man at my aunt's church or somethin'...dang. Sexy's the right word.
@Dimensions100 people always have a fetish for black men. Black men are seen as being cool with big dicks butBlack women are hated. The media perpetuate racist bullshit about us that needs to stop or else.
+thehoneyeffectYour comment is two years old, but it's all the more relevant today.
I know nothing of hatred for all the hues of women. In the correct perspective, woman is the mate of man. I love all women.
yes Yes YES!!!
this....is a......freaking....AWESOME SONG!!!
I know why, it does the same for me, but only those of us who are from there, would understand.......I get homesick as well.
probably the biggest ever in Jazz..
sick sounds
Thanks so much for posting this. I haven't heard it in years. It instantly made me homesick for California. It just reminds me of San Francisco, Interstate 80 and crossing the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge. I don't know why, but it does.
Good context for the review.
I think Mr. Nastos review completely missed the boat...This is Primo Yusef in all his magical splendor...Behold the Magic!
Thanks.. I'll have to check out the blog..and Yusef is magical.
Thanks for creating this, I just got introduced to his music via an NPR interview 2/2013. And funny I run a blog for women of color on natural health, wellness and spirituality and I came to find vid of his music and this one is so perfect. It's a box of chocolate for the soul dot com (I had to write it funny or not allowed.)
Oustanding grooves, very stylish video presentation. Superb work across the board!Nuff Sedd!!!
exactly what I needed....amazing..
Please check in my videos; Nubian Visions and Enchantress - on MegaASHENAFI ...,
Thank you...
I love how he fills this groove up. But this is a well done video! Nice transitions!
Thanks for the additional info on Lateef....appreciate the share.
