What is that instrument being used in this?
Ent Wildoak a harmonium, it's like a keyboard with reeds and bellows, he plays it in some live performances videos on here
How does such rich fullness spring from such sparse simplicity? Beautiful.
Now that there... is powerful stuff. This here from an Irishman: God Save England!

oh dear what mess you have got us in
Only a mess if you've no self respect and believe we cannot run our own affairs without a malignant EU plotting our cultures destruction via demographic displacement.
@Forever Changes Much of the demographic replacement was coming from bad decisions made by the British national government itself. I'm not native to Britain, while having been born here, but I respect the right by ancestry of the British people to remain a hypermajority in their country and to control their destiny, as well as to preserve their future existence. The problem is that Britain's national government is beholden to international finance and corporations. Even while independent of the EU, the government will still be under that control.
Dawn Richardson we did it 🍺
That voice, what a marvel.
Could anyone tell me the source/artist/title of the first two images shown in this video and the painting at the 0:55 mark?
We have purchased Bellamy's Merlin's Isle of Gramarye because of this album of covers. So I expect more people will be discovering the originals that way too. I also bought Sam Lee's album, which has some nice tracks on it, but not like this track, which is of the melt inducing variety in my book. : ) My husband is the real folkie between us. The Bellamy cd is his.
..... and Sam Lee wrote the liner notes for one of the re-releases.
Not to diminish Sam Lee who is brilliant, but Peter Bellamy performed a monumental work of love setting many Kipling poems to music and singing them with taste and authenticity, and didn't get the deserved fame in his lifetime.I am glad Bellamy's versions are being carried on by others, but the originals are great!. If you want to hear them, several of the albums have finally been re-released and are on Amazon: "Oak and Ash and Thorn" "Merlin's Isle of Gramarye" "Barrack Room Ballads"
I can tell Bellamy has influenced him - Bellamy sang with very free rhythm over droning accompaniment sometimes.
Thanks for pointing that out. Mistake corrected.
Not bad but seems churlish not to credit Peter Bellamy at all -
Very much so.
Interesting to watch the vid and read the text of Kipling's poem.
Excellent, thank you for posting this. Recently found and digging Sam Lee, looking forward to hearing more of what he produces.
Aww Thanks so much!
My favourite poem and with the Video it was really great.
Love it!
Thanks for saying so! Glad you enjoyed. : )

@mzantsi Yeah. It's cool. I love it. To me it shows that the past is always with us. Sam Lee has an album coming out sometime. I'll be watching for it. : )
