I remember first discovering this song back in 7th grade, it was always "yea this song sounds really nice and lamenting, I like it". But looking back, i never really understood it, I couldn't understand it bc I hadn't lived enough to have. Even now, I still feel it gain more meaning and sorrow with each replay, every time I come back. I've realized it's not just about losing a girl, it's about losing something you never realized you could lose. Life is hard and it hurts to lose ppl close to you, I've let go of so many relationships, friends, and family. You truly never know what you have until it's gone, even if you thought you were ready to lose it. Yet, I know I've got a lot of life to live, and I hope this song will continue to take me back to the places i've been, with the ppl i've met.
