On this day, 16 years ago, November 12th 2003 I was introduced to this world. The first people I ever met being, obviously, my parents, sister, and grandparents. I immediately took a great connection with this man older than my dad who seemed to be years younger with a great full head of hair and strength of an ox while remaining in great shape for his grandkids.This was my grandpa, he was a great outdoorsman and socially amazing man who everyone either knew or wanted to know, very fun to talk to, he became my role model and best friend. The outdoor activities he loved most were hunting and fishing, I could swear that he was the best on Earth at either. Every year we have an annual family fishing trip up to Canada where we play nothing but John Denver the entire ride as we look forward to a week of non-stop fishing and early waking and late slumbers. My grandpas favorite song for the ride, by far was Annie’s song, while mine was so and also Country Roads. My best friend passed away a few months ago. We played this song at his funeral with all close family and friends knowing the true meaning besides this song to us and him. That is why this song is so special to me. I Love you Grandpa

Disneyland Hotel Dancing Waters in the 1980’s. Takes me back. This song to the waters swaying and changing colors was always a treat. We’d go once a week living in the OC as a little kid and it was a memory I’ll always treasure now that my parents and siblings are all gone..Thanks John, for giving me the soundtrack of some great memories that will last forever..
