This song takes me back to my third date with my now husband of 37 yrs. We had driven from Denver to Boulder. He parks the car and as he comes around he stops and looks me in the eye. He then says "I don't know if I can date you anymore". I am shocked. We just started the date, we're 45 minutes from where I live and I am rewinding in my head what the heck could I have said for him to say that. I ask him why. He says when I look in your eyes you have wedding bells. Again I am shocked. I had no idea. I think about it for a second and then look him in the eye and say "I didn't realize it but you are the one. I am in no hurry at all and I will not pressure you. Let's just keep having good times and see where it goes.". So when she sings the lines below, it takes me right back to that beautiful time. Thankfully it's together forever. Looking forward to our retirement years and all the sweet dates to come.
