I like his latest style, it's very nice, but his older songs were sublime and amazing. This new style does not give me a myriad of emotions like the old one gave me.

Yann Tiersen seguirá siendo recordado, para bien y para mal, como el compositor de la banda sonora de la película "Amélie", de 2001. A pesar de ello él sigue componiendo y no vive de éxitos pasados. Yann es un tipo inquieto, apasionado de la experimentación y al que le gusta jugüetar con la electrónica. Es un multiinstrumentalista que no pierde fuerza. Sus detractores hablarán de que es demasiado blando, pero es cierto que no para de crear buenas melodías pop. Tres años después de publicar "Skyline", Tiersen vuelve a España con "Infinity", su octavo álbum de estudio grabado en dos islas: Islandia y Ouessant (Francia), lugar de origen del músico. "La influencia de estos lugares se deja sentir en el disco, por ejemplo, en las letras, que están escritas en islandés, bretón y feroés", explica el músico. El 17 de octubre actuará en el Auditórium de Girona y al día siguiente en la madrileña sala La Riviera, el 21 de octubre en el Kursaal de San Sebastián. De este modo podremos oír temas como "A Midsummmer Evening", "In Our Minds" o "Meteorites", en la que contó con la colaboración de Adain Moffat -miembro de la banda Arab Strap- a quien le encargó que escribiera una canción sobre piedras. "Llevaba años queriendo trabajar con él, soy un gran seguidor del grupo Arab Strap. Coincidimos hace dos o tres años en Londres pero hasta 'Infinite', no había podido contar con él para ninguno de mis álbumes", ha confesado Tiersen. El título "Infinity" tiene mucho que ver con el proceso de creación del disco, que cuenta con una buena presencia de instrumentos de juguete y sonidos ambiente, lo que Tiersen ha reconocido como un guiño a sus primeros discos. Es un músico obsesivo con la búsqueda de nuevos sonidos, desde "La valse des monstres" (1995), su primer álbum, Tiersen ha publicado numerosos trabajos, entre discos de estudio, álbumes en directo y bandas sonoras, entre las que se cuenta también la del éxito del cine alemán "Good bye, Lenin!"

this video is not Yann Tiersen, at least to myself and the imaginary world i painted listening to the soul of his pieces, on the other hand the music and the whole infinity  album are terrific, different but you can still know it's yann, i'm so lucky i got to see him live in Chicago. 

Yann will meteor with this track and buy a new car!

Your new stuff is for the young kids my friend. Too bad you had to adapt your new style to the new generation. Will always listen to your early stuff though. R.I.P. the real Yann Tiersen.

I used to say the same lines that the real Yann Tiersen music is gone, but here I am, still listening to his ever evolving music.

I used to think, that he really change and I start to hate his music since Dust Lane, and he becoming a post-rock composer but in the intervies he said that post-rock was his favorite kind of music that he even admire them, and you have to undestand that her firsts albums was made for theaters and he was just influenced for his years of study in the french conservatory, that is just for classical music, so that you have his earlier works were for most of the reasons for his first impressions and works and then he was evolving in something that he admire since a kid 

But @Henry Benitez, now you like his music ?

Yeah, it took me a while but at after several times hearing them I started to like them, and love them, Dust Lane, Skyline, Les Retroutivilles are not what we were used to but... now I listen to them more than la valse des monstrues, that its my favorite album

I liked it. Is Andy dick the scientist from the first inspector gadget?? I personally like tiersen's instrumental or piano music but this isn't bad. And the video was entertaining c: job well done.

He always wanted to make this type of music. He is excellent in piano but this is the type of music that he likes most and he is very good on it. 

yeah, its true, but he is returning, he says that ths album has "touches" of the firsts albums, so Yann is always a instrumentalist, post rock, neoclassical and wathever he wants musician XD
