My grandpa listened to this song a lot .... we didnt know he had stage 4 cancer. It came quick to take him. But I think he knew something was wrong he was so good at hiding the pain. He showed me this song I was very surprised becouse he hasn't been strong in showing his faith for many years. Near the end he knew and listening to this song again makes me think....he is probably sharing a beer with the lord now. Up in heaven fishin and drinkin with jesus. Thanks for writing this song. I don't like this song because it takes away the Holiness and Divinity of God. Jesus has already come down to bring us up to Him by His death and resurrection. We should be trying to go to Jesus level, not bringing Him down to ours. The veil of the temple was torn in two at the moment of His dying so that we could have access to Him at anytime. You don't need a beer to access Jesus. All you need to do is sit down and open up a conversation with Him and He will come and spend all the time and answer all the questions that you desire. All you need to do is take the first step to Him, He will run to you!
