Tbh everyone used to say that they miss old taylor and they wish she could come back to her old music style and I always defended her because even tho her latest album's lead singles are lyrically weak there are many vulnerable tracks and touching songs in each album but I don't think the next album is as good as the previous ones.. the title itself is so generic and so used 'lover' and until now we got you need to calm down and me which seemed like generic pop songs to me and their lyrics are just.. idk how to explain it.. I know Taylor will always be the same inside but her music changed a LOT.. I LOVED reputation and 1989 even tho the singles aren't that AMAZING but the tracks were soooo beautiful.. but I don't think it'll work with this album. I know singles are meant to be catchy and top the charts but this ain't it. It's like she changed her whole music style entirely. But I'll support her anyways

I liked that "treacherous" looked like "treasure", I liked the melody, the sadness in her voice... I know all the words to the song i listened to it so much. I never, ever, understood it. I searched up the definition of treacherous and didn't understand it. I really didn't get it.Tonight I'm upset. I'm feeling like I'm being used, but I'm having fun with it so I don't want to stop, but I don't want to be unfair to myself either. I was listening to Taylor, going through all the albums & adding songs to the queue. I listened to 95% of the songs on the list until it was this song's turn. It. Hit. Me. Hard. Every single line is accurate. Every single one! How does that happen? I knew all the words, and as I was singing along, my heart sank deeper and deeper... Hey Stephen was my go to song for my first crush. I've had a song for all the romantic situations I've been in. This is the first time I'm feeling like this, and she has a song that perfectly relates? How. Aside from crying with the song & now having it on repeat for the past 30 mins, it helped me make up my mind about what to do. "Nothing safe is worth the drive". 1 line. People hate on her because she only does love songs? Well... Human beings have a thousand different emotions & situations. You need a thousand different songs to be able to relate to the humans. She does that perfectly. Every song is perfect, somewhat similar, but so so so VERY different. Don't even get me started on how amazing Red (the song specifically) is. I know I'll be blasting that on repeat when/if I get my heart broken for real.Thanks Taylor.
