This kind of meaningful storytelling is a missing art in music these days. Shame Pharrell sold out for corny Euro-dance shit and singing about being happy. Out of all the artists The Neptunes produced for Kelis suited their sound perfectly.

Pharrell has not sold out to that Euro Dance crap just yet and may never will as he doesn't really need to because he has full control of his songs since he produces them from his own record label Star Trak. Songs like Happy and Blurred Lines and his new album GIRL still has that Neptunes vibe to it a little but I have to agree that Neptunes were at their best between the years 2000-2006.

Happy & Blurred Lines are too Marvin Gaye knock-offs. Pharrell needs to get back with Chad because without him Pharrell isn't that creative.
