My father was in the army when my and my brother were little. He got deployed twice and every time he came home me and my brother would dress up in little army outfits and greet him at the door. Those memories will every stick with me. I am now 16 turning 17 on the 17th of November and I am going into the marines when I graduate high school next year. I want to thank everyone who has served this country from the bottom of my heart.

My dad was in the navy for a couple years and my brother grew up until he was 7 with out him when he got back he was injured but alright he was braking out in tears when he saw my mom and brother because he didnt know my mom was pregnant with me and he was do happy he came home to make sure he was there for my mom I was lucky to grow up with an amazing dad and family but some people arnt that locks so please just make sure to help and support anyone who is alone or sad

This is why I am scared to go into the navy when I am older I am scared and dont want to leave my great and amazing family 😔😫😭❤

Soldiers needs to stop being worshipped as if they're better than everyone else. And those soldiers who think they are need to get off their high horse. It’s a job. You get paid. Yes, you’re risking your life. But there are loads of jobs that involve risking your life. Cops, fireman, pilots, deep-sea fisherman/divers, construction workers, miners, etc. It’s a dangerous job, but you choose to do it. There are huge drawbacks like being away from home, but there are also some pretty solid benefits as well like the free education.And I’m so fucking tired of hearing about how they “fought for our freedom.” Get real. Even if that’s what you imagined you would be doing, you’re not fighting for our freedom. You’re fighting for our gas prices or fighting for our status as a superpower.And okay, I feel sorry for soldiers who have died. I really really do. I would never ever suggest that we were better off with one less soldier or something horrible like that. And I sincerely feel for the families as well. But the thing is that other people are dying in these wars too. A soldier is nothing more than a tool to be used til broken fighting for a country's politics that could give two shits about you

Honestly Idk how one could be so cruel... These men and women DIED for our freedom and back in all the wars we had in the 1900s and even further back. Being a solider isn't a tool, it's very important job that they take seriously to protect us citizens and their families day in and day out. Families LOSE a son, daughter, uncle, aunt, brother, sister and friend cus they are fighting to protect our freedom. I 100% respect our military especially since I'm friends with someone CURRENTLY SERVING....

Thank you to to those who serve in our armed forces. Thank you for protecting us and keeping us safe at night. We would not be here if it weren't for your bravery. Our country couldn't exist without you. My heart goes out to those who didn't make it back to their families. My heart also goes out to the families in which their baby or loved one didn't return. Most importantly, I feel a great joy to see the look of everyone's faces when a hero comes home. And to every ordinary citizen out there, you probably won't read this, but thank any soldier you come across, whether they are in uniform or not. For example, If I see any veteran or soldier at my work, and I am a cashier, I thank them. I am not afraid to and you shouldn't be either. It is not embarrassing to the soldier because they don't always get thanked. A lot don't seem to care anymore about the heroes that keep us safe. In most cases, the soldier or vet will have a look of pure gratitude in their eyes. I have gotten compliments from them but I have also gotten silence. The silence is not one of embarrassment or rudeness. It is one of gratitude. So please thank those who serve. Don't be rude and just ignore them. Look at them with gratitude and thankfulness. they are true heroes alive or dead. Their sacrifice is for our safety and that shouldn't be taken for granted. Lastly, I just want to give another thank you to those who served and those who sacrificed their lives. Y'all will forever be in our hearts.
