This is the best song on the album and it’s been on repeat ever since it came out. When Harry said it was one of his favorites I fucking cried like this song touches me like no other song and I realized how giving this man is and just overall a beautiful person. *long comment*This album, as well Hozier's 'Wasteland Baby!' album has really made my year. And now that I'm wrapping up on listening to the album here on RU-clip I feel there are a lot of similar ideas/approaches these two different artists have. Both of them started solo with a self-titled album, but were fundamentally different - Hozier's was more otherworldly and powerful, something new I hadn't heard before, whilst Styles's felt safe - good songs, yeah, but I didn't feel as if he was doing anything noteworthy. With Hozier's album this year he's taken the same feel of his songs, given them a makeover, and brought out a new side of his art - the sad and hopeful side. Styles has made a much, much bigger leap in his work in less time (I waited 5 years for WB! and two for FL) and here I feel he's really trying new ideas and presenting his work in a new way, as well as just having a blast using that gorgeous voice of his in many different ways (who knew you could sing about fruit so many ways???). Now I'm not trying to compare the two - just making some notes about them.Now the main reason I started this comment (please excuse my terrible organization skills here) was to make a point about each album's title song. The SONG Wasteland, Baby! in WB! and Fine Line in FL feel eerily similar, but for all the right reasons. Both Styles and Hozier's work require a good week MINIMUM to listen to and absorb, and as I'm writing this I don't know what order the songs in FL are but I HAVE memorized WB! (it came in spring give me a break) and the songs are arranged and the title song is placed last. If you listen to WB! in it's designated order, You'll start off strong with NCP, then dip with AIW, then rise again with Dinner and Diatribes before you finally settle back down with Wasteland, Baby! And WB! is not what I thought it was - it was haunting and quiet and beautiful and absolutely heartbreaking and a terrific note to end on for an album about the near-coming apocalypse.And FL? The title song is as gorgeous and absolutely works the same way. I listened to Adore You, TPWK, She, Cherry, etc etc and I listened to FL somewhere in the middle, but came back to it. All the other songs are amazing but this one, like WB!, stands on it's own and could honestly carry the album. It is slower than a lot of the other songs, it's less bombastic and more subtle. Harry's voice has been distorted (again, like in WB!) but not as to be submerged in water but rather all-encompassing and to surround the listener with his voice and his words. For most of the song there are only a few instruments (the change is nice too!) and it's just something you'd want to lay back in your bed and listen to for the sake of listening (which I absolutely have lmao). It is a song that exists just for the listener and sums up the album pretty well. It is a song meant to feel like a conclusion, but a bittersweet one - what's happening isn't ideal but, as Styles says, 'we'll be alright'. It is one supposed to evoke *emotions*.TL;DR - This album is a jewel and I cannot wait to see if Styles continues to try new things (preferably with less drugs though). Fine Line and Wasteland Baby! have absolutely blown my mind and are easily the crowning jewels of what came out of this godawful year.

This song is so magical. In his first album, songs like Only Angel or Woman, and Kiwi of course, makes me scream and feel really strong. Im talking about the energy of the music.
