I think the listener was being sarcastic in explaining that it sounds better live. I agree that this live version of yesterdays sounds better than the one on the album.

I remember watching this AmA performance and after words Eddie Money saying that he came to it to see some talent but was mad that he saw none. He must of been in the pisser durning this GnR performance.

This was via satellite so Eddie Money was probably referring to the acts that performed at the actual awards... or maybe he was in the pisser.
