I really hope this isn't the direction Dermot's music is going to take from this point forward. His strength lies in the power and emotion in his voice. Don't mask it with pop drivel and overproduction. It takes what could be a stand-out artist and makes him melt into the average. He can't pander to modern tastes in pop music or he'll never make himself known. I'm alright with experimentation, just don't double down trying to fit in. His music is better than that.
