+sonaegy this isn't turkish music:) if you want to know about turkish musician history, you can listen to "barış manço" "cem karaca" :)
+sonaegy but ı agree with some of you..:) some songs really sucks
+şerif sarı thanks for sharing this with me :)
Of course this song is Egyptian and the lyrics was written in a local Egyptian words. I dare if there are anyone can understand the lyrics of this song. just Egyptian can. The whole song is Egyptian.
very nice :) I'm from Izmir -TURKEY and I'm proud of living same city of Dario's . He was a great turk and great singer. All turkish people proud of him.Especially Izmirians :)
It's a shame that he was burried in Israel instead of Turkey.
@onee his mother 'roza' was living in israel when he died suddenly and she wished that her son was burried near her instead of izmir.

To the people who replied to my comment, I'm so sorry about what I said about Dario Moreno. That was very immature of me to do that and I hope you guys can forgive me.
Response to swedenmalmo: This was not an Egyptian folk song sung by farmers!!! first sung by Bob Azam in an Egyptian movie, on You Tube by the way, in the setting of middle class and rich young men and women dancing in a club. That's obvious with the use of both French and Arabic. It was in the 1960's. The Government first banned it thinking it was political, as the revolution of Gamal Nasser was only 7 years old, which is another story. Bob, real first name George, Azam, who was born in Alexandria and later emigrated to Switzerland, opened a nightclub and continued to sing...
Merveilleux Dario !!!!
magnifique
His singing and dancing is just as stupid as Nicki Minaj's Stupid Hoe song! I'm just glad he's not alive anymore!
and we all sad because you're still breathing..
@Ismet kısmet +1
It is on that if he was still alive, he would put you deep inside your ass.
I apologize for what a said and I will never ever say that again.

2/3 is right, Turkish Jew. An incredible talent indeed, the world lost him much much too early... Thank you Dario Moreno...
I love Jewish people. I am a Turk. We have a long history of getting on and I am PROUD to have many Jewish friends. There is no room for people like you in a civilised world.
great singer...
the great David Arugete from Smyrna (Izmir) Turkey) but lived in France and died with 47 years .He is buried in Israel. Era un Sefaradi
it is my grandmother cousin
@honghavok yesssss
In Wikipedia it says: "Bruno Gigliotti, the brother of famous singer Dalida, also covered the song." .As far as I know, the song is a rather old traditional Egyptian folk song, perhaps Bruno Mori rearranged it.
@ZimZim349 who, Dario? Really?
Thanks to remember Orlando,bother of Dalida.He was an arabic star in the 60's and after a real support in Dalida's successful carrier.Ya Mustapha is still a tube in oriental community.
hahah he was my great uncle. My grandmas older brother :)
@gursoye yes the original song is Egyptian but not by Bob Azzam , originally it is by Bruno Mori (brother of great singer Dalida) who is lately known as Orlando Mori .
@pourimnon1 change ton nom en pourricon

@natpetras How funny are the lyrics!!! Maybe you don't understand them? If anyone want a translation of them, (the French ones) I am ready to give it.
He isnt the original singer of the song!
dario moreno was a turkish jew.
@atwater2021 They weren't living in harmony @ all. The Jews were being religiously ETHNICALLY CLEANSED by murderous attacks on them by islamic mobs - neighborhood to neighborhood. It started WAAAY b-4 the creation of the tiny miute state of Israel & was merely 1 of many reasons for it's revolutionary creation.
@FORRESTJASPER actually they were all living in harmony back then, they were identified as egyptians first and foremost and not jewish. i remember my family always sang praises about all those artists, they were a national treasure. but it all went downhill with the establishment of the state of israel sadly
Bob Azzam & Dario Moreno, both JEWISH. All these Jews had to keep singing in arab countries hoping and praying that the arabs would let them LIVE! They sung as if their lives depended on it, and they did!
very camp ! très très gay
David Arugete :) wonderful!! thank you:)
It's really very funny! I have the Orlando-version on a disc released in Czechoslovakia. Terrible!
Can you tell us what the lyrics are?Greetings from Delaware
çk gzel yahu
Demis Roussos was born in Alexandria, Dalida was born in Shobra Cairo, Claude Francois was born in Ismailia and many more who were living in Egypt during "la belle epoque" before the 50'sThen they immigrated to Europe and started their international musical career.
You said tha Mohammed Fawzi sang this song... so find it if you can and post it on youtube!
i dont care if you beleive or not but obviously you take such sites as wikipidia as your source so i dont think you know so much about anything, are you even arab anyway i know what im talking about its an old egyptian song mixed with french words, it has been sung by a lot of ppl in both the arabworld and outside so dont come with your sites please...and again Mohammad Fawzy is the singer..
Do you have a recording of Mohammed Fawzi singing that song to prove it?So please don't invent things...Go to Dalida's website... who was also born in Egypt and you'll find the picture of the record of her brother who wrote this song. Or search on youtube the Egyptian film "el hobb kedah" where Salah Zulfakar is dancing on the version of Bob Azzam.
it´s a well-known traditional song in egypt sung by farmers, in other word its egyptian folklore.. and the one that made it a hit in the arab-world was Mohammad Fawzy who sang it first and you know wikipidia is not a trusted source becuase every one can change the info
But according to ORLANDO, the brother and manager of DALIDA, Bob Azzam only made it famous world wide. but it was him who wrote it and sang it first. go to the web site of Dalida in the page of Orlando.
According to wikipedia, the original song was by sung by BOB AZZAM. Please check his other songs on youtube. He was an Egyptian jewish singer (given name Waddie George Azzam), he was born in Alexandria, Egypt on October 24 1925, and died in Monaco on July 24 2004. He began his career in Italy in the late 50s singing in Italian and English. In 1960, he released two songs in France: ya Mustafa and "Fais-moi du couscous, chérie". He witnessed a great success in France in the beginning of the 60s.
ahahahhahaahahhahhahahahaahahhahahahahahahhahahaha this is so funny and silly haahahahahahahaahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahaahahha this guy is so hahahahhahhahaha
Arabs are crazy drivers
nice thanx...the original arabic song was sung by Mohammad Fawzy (egyptian) was called "ya moustafa"
I just understand the first part, and he sings:honey I love you, honey I adore you like the tomatoe souce
can anybody upload the Frank Dube's version ?
what about he is singing??
Non. Composée par le génial Bob Azzam qui était tunisien d'origine (et ingénieur de formation. On lui doit la boîte à échos). Bob Azzam composa aussi les "fais-moi du couscous" et "dans le ciel".
Greek version:eleni bitali-o moustafas
nice uploads
