Listen, you could say the hook means about having to adjust the pain/break up and even if there’s no chance of getting back adjust to it since it’s pointless to keep going and since they’re gone embrace what is going to come but make sure you don’t show them you’re alone, die with a smile. I’m the bridge it could mean that once they’ve forgotten about you cause they let it slip away and forgot the good things about you. Idk it was just my take on it.
