Another great band is Trouble from Chi- Town. First 2 records are must haves. Pentagram, St Vitus, Trouble, Witchfynder General are some of the mostunderated not only doom metal but heavy metal in general. This shit rips!!!!!!

I like this music why this has to be satanic themed

It's not neceszarily satanic brother, it's just dark really, it's like the little kids who dress as the devil for Halloween, it's just setting a tone with the imagery but this song is actually about werewolves the less seriously you take the imagery the more you enjoy it, as a Catholic man myself I had guilt for listening to this, but as i grew older i learned that I can appreciate the music and continue to believe in my faith because it's not telling you to go and do sacrifices it's just telling an awesome dark story through awesome riffs, drums, bass and vocals So just rock on my man and nevermind that stuff

Black Sabbath is a Heavy metal band, the first of all. Pentagram is only a bad copy of Black Sabbath. The vocals are horrible and the songs are really pathetic.

The bass tone is heavy on the midrange and mostly doubles the guitars, save for a few parts, so it all blends together into one super heavy tone between the two since the guitar, outside of solos/fills, is heavy on the lows, plus the bass is kinda quiet, but it's definitely there or the song would sound empty and not heavy at all really

Much respect to this band....I wish I knew about them in the 80s. I like them better than sabbath...certainly darker lyrics. I'd only put sabbaths into the void ahead of pentagram for how I feel about the songs. Musically sabbath is probably slightly better. But damn this band should have been a bigger success. They have so many great songs.
